So it has been a year since that day.
22nd June 2008. I'll never forget that day. The tears we shed, the heartbreaks we had. I can't believe it has been a year already. It seemed like only yesterday he was still snoozing away in his favourite spot. Memories of him still linger vividly in my head.
Rocky, you're dearly missed.
A lot of things has changed ever since he left. He gave me a harsh reminder of my ambition to become a vet. He reminded me how much more effort I had to put in. His departure certainly gave me a slap in my face. I was a horrible owner.
Well, back to the topic. Things in the house definitely changed a lot. Yuki came along and fitted perfectly in our family. In fact, she's sleeping on my table right beside my arm while I'm typing this. I hardly have enough space. x.x
Due to my new determination, Happy came along too. His time with us was enriching and gave me a gentle push forward to work even harder for animals. And of course, most recently, the 2 furry ones: Amber and Murphy. Ticks gave me a practical test. It told me that being a vet would also have to deal with pests like them. No matter how much I detest them, how much I do not want to even touch them, I have to. It hurt my heart when I catch a tick sucking on the blood of Yuki and the area around it becomes red and it looked like it hurt. :(
Rocky was the best companion I've ever had. His eyes, his gestures, his smell, his fur... I'll never forget. Rocky, how are you doing up in Rainbow Bridge? Are you having fun with your new friends? Have you met Fido yet? How are you guys getting along? Do you... miss me? Cos I sure do. Loads.
Rocky, if you ever get tired of waiting for me, then you may move along. I don't wanna hold you down. Go and get reincarnated or something. Then I'll look for you. Whether or not it's in this life or next. I'll always love you and never forget you. Just to let you know, you're constantly loved by every single one of us. Hope to see you soon. I love you.

Camp Camelot. 15th June - 18th June 2009.
4 wondrous days. 4 unforgettable days.
[Warning: Long post ahead!]
Throughout my entire life, this is the only camp I wished would last even longer. I had the best time of my life. It may be tiring, sweaty, sticky and disgusting but the company of the blue badges was great. The H2H room turned into a blue badges hostel room. Everyone booked their own cosy corner and spend their 4 days there. The laughter and joy... Never to be forgotten.
Day 1Pitching tents:
Nerice and I helped Avalon patrol to pitch their tents and build their clothes line. It was horrible. Avalon was situated in the rocky area so pegs and gadget poles were so hard to mallet in. In the end Shermaine came up with a great idea of using metal pegs to "break" the rocks below and then slowly mallet in the rest. It was easier but the pegs and poles still could not fully be mallet in. Thus, everything was wobbly and unstable. (The tent fell in the end when it started to rain. Oops!)
Sec 4 item preparation:
We sneaked into the Drama studio and practiced with the aircon on. XD Did some last minute changes and danced again and again. It was fun dancing together with half the sec 4 sngg cohort. :D Oh yeah, we danced in the H2H room too! It was kinda embarassing dancing in front of the rest but it was even worst when you dance during campfire. x.x''
Bathing time:
Together with Nerice, we timed the last cubicle (garfield) together. (: Sadly, before any customers came, we had to leave to help backdrop. :(
Backdrop comm:
I swear I almost lost my life. I was TOTALLY freaking out. When we raised the tripods together with the backdrop, the tripod I was helping at was soooo unstable!! To make it worst, I was holding on the most unstable pole which kept flying. I was practically hugging the pole with my life and screaming my lungs out. Thankfully, it somehow managed to stay till the campfire ended.
Campfire!:
My bro and I finally managed to be in the same campfire. XD He even got to see me dance. -.- His school was sitting right in front summore. x.x~ Lol, but still, the feeling was great. :D My last campfire in school and he got to attend it. ^_^!
Sec 4 item:
It turned out even better than we thought! :D Luckily I didn't forget any steps and everything went well. (: Janice Chua video-ed our dance and when we saw it, WOW! It was so neat! Haha, I can't see myself since I was hiding behind Jasmine when we danced Get Up but that also meant that it was so neat that I wasn't exposed! XD
Packing up:
I almost died again. When we fell the tripods and backdrop, the pole went backwards cos it was so heavy and flew. I was again hugging on the pole and screaming my lungs out. I think I had a bruise on my knee cos of that. o.O In any case, it was great no one got hurt. (: After we were done with backdrop, Nerice and I helped logistics out with the chairs and moved them back to MPR 1.
Evaluation:
It was kinda weird cos everyone praised each other and there were hardly any scoldings. I felt that we should at least let them know where they have gone wrong and give them suggestions on how they can improve instead of simply only praising them. Anyways, good job SNGG! :D
That's about all for Day 1. The sec 4s bathed at midnight and got scolded. -.- Like hello, it's not our fault that we had to help everyone out right? We were sacrificing ourselves! Rawrr~ Oh yeah, I made Ribena before I slept. XD The Ribena was for the campfire game but there were leftovers so the Sec 4s took it. ;x Thank you MCs! ^_^
Day 2Inspection:
Nerice and I didn't get to do inspection. :( We had to help the patrols build their kitchen shelters. Like wth? It's because they took a bloody long time to pitch their tents and gadgets and DIDN'T even bother getting the kitchen shelter things down after we reminded them a thousand and one times. Why issit that when we, blue badges and the badges before us, can build our tents, gadgets, kitchen shelter AND kitchen dresser within the time limit given to us while they can't build a simple kitchen shelter? In the end we sec 4s had to do it when we don't have to use it AT ALL.
Lunch:
It was GREEEAAAAT! XD We were all very tired after being in the hot sun building the stupid kitchen shelters. So when COLD taw huay and pizza hut came, IT WAS LIKE HEAVEN. I was slurping my taw huay like mad cos it was so shuang!! :D Whoopee! ^_^
Doc appt:
I left at 1.30pm for my doc appt. It was over faster than I thought. ;x Considering the fact that during the time I was away till 4.30pm it would be something that does not concern the sec 4s, I went home and took a nice 1hr 15min nap on my bed in my aircon room and a refreshing shower. XD I forgot to bring my homework, my camera and my track pants. -.- In the end my parents had to come back and bring my track pants to me the next day. Oops. ;x
High tide~:
When I went back, Nerice aw was sleeping so soundly that she didn't move a muscle and she looked so peaceful that I didn't dare to wake her up to drink the bubble tea I bought for her. XD She slept for another 15mins while I stoned. x.x'' Both of us then went to time people! Lol it was soooo fun. :P I know I sound sadistic. XD But seriously, almost every single person overshot their 3mins time limit. -.- They really think it's a leisure camp sia. But too bad, it's a TRAINING camp, mind you.
Night trail! <3 . :
As most of the sec 4s went out to buy dinner, Nerice, Hui shan, Beatrice and I stayed back to continue timing. Lol, coincidentally the 4 of us are in the group for the night trail. XD Anyway, by the time sec 4s came back to take over us, we were short for time so we left our dinner aside and rushed to change and go to our locations. My group was at the playground but it was so dark we didn't dare to go down. Sorry Joanna! :( Now I kinda regret cos it would have been scarier if we really went down. x( The first batch of patrols came so fast that before we could make any decisions, they came. So we just settled for the lower concourse since we didn't have time to change locations. I LOVE scaring them. XD I was wearing my blackxwhite jap school uniform with 2 ponytails. Bwahahahs. Most of them got scared~ :P Later on, we changed to the bench area above the playground and dragged them to the staircase behind which made them even more scared to teach them the rhymes. I love hiding behind the wall and then slowly appearing myself and walking up the stairs. :D Hehes. Overall, it was fun! ^^~ Although they kept laughing at the ending at the forum, I think we all did a superb job! Especially Joanna! 3 cheers~
When it all ended and everyone was about to sleep, Nerice, Beatrice and I kept laughing and Beatrice said that if we laugh before we slept, we will get nightmares. And guess what? Beatrice and I really had a nightmare while laughy Nerice Aw didn't. Not fair!
Day 3Inspection:
Yay! Nerice and I finally get to do inspection! :D I managed to confiscate one spectacle cloth and a Guide uniform top (-.- wth?) which was not labelled. I also confiscated a shoe bag which was placed in the wrong place. Like uh, you wear your shoes on your head? x.x? In the end it was really horrible. We confiscated so many things! Furthermore, it's already the 2nd inspection. Haven't they learnt their lessons? It's like even more things from the 1st one! It's damn gross can. We found things like a chopping board growing some mould or sth. YUCK! I can't believe they used that to cook their own food. Thank god I didn't go down to sample their food. Eeeeew. Dx
Hike:
Nerice and I led Excaliber around. Lol, I swear, the thing about going high after drinking sweet drinks is a fact. Before we had lunch, the whole patrol was so dead and was sian-ing all the way. They strolled to every location (actually they still did that after lunch). We were lagging behind la. When we finally reached adam food centre, they had their lunch and COKE. XD So when we gathered again after lunch they were like talking and laughing more. LOL. They started walking a little quicker and me and Nerice somehow started lagging behind them. o.O I guess coke doesn't really work on us. XD We only completed 7 stations out of 15. :( It was like 1 more stop till YMCA, where the fun starts! They were supposed to dance and sing the YMCA cheer until WE (the facils) were satisfied. :P And then at newton circle or sth they were supposed to dress up in medieval theme and walk around till at least 5 people turn their heads at them. :D Sadly, we didn't get to do anything. Sorry Excaliber! :( Anyway, one patrol member had a tummyache and another's (I shall not mention names) pad was about to overflow. ._.'' So we took 132 and alighted at thomson plaza for them to do their stuffs. After that we realised another patrol member's menses came... Alamak. So me and Nerice ran up to Guardian to buy the cheapest pad and ran down again for them to change their pads and whatever. Lol, in the end we ended up a little late. At the 265 bus stop, we bumped into 3 other patrols from all sorts of directions and everyone started running so it was crazy. Me and Nerice ran for awhile and gave up and let Excaliber run for their lives into the school. XD Hahas. Well done Excaliber! :D

Fake Campfire:
Ah huat returns! XD I love Kaiying, she's so great as ah huat. :P I was going high and started kicking my slippers off and laughing my ass off. ;x Somehow every little thing tickled me. XD The sec 4s sang some songs together on the stage (Oh yeah, we were in the drama studio). It's pretty heart warming to sing as a whole. (: Pew~
Manito:
I love my manito yes I do! :D I loved Sarah Ong's expression when she realised her manitoer was Nerice and not me! XD [Inside story, don't ask] She said she told a lot of people her manitoer was me. Whoopsee! :P Nerice Aw said she went "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~". XDXD!!! My manitoer was Crystal and my manito was Brenda. :P Sorry ah Brenda, I know it's a sucky present. :\
Guides Own:
I had so many people I wanted to write to, but so little time. :( Miss Lee scolded us and spoilt the mood. But nevertheless, I was writing and tears started to fill my eyes a little. :\ It's kinda sad that it's the last Guides own I'll ever have... As usual, I wrote to Nerice Aw and Yeong... The people I've written to for my 4 years in Guides. Every Guides Own, without fail. I love you guys. (:
I slept at 1am+ that night. I stayed up to finish up my farewell letters. Had some snacks and POCKY! :D Thank you Joanna! ^_^v I fell asleep almost immediately when I lyed on my sleeping bag. Zzz~
Day 4Breakfast:
Finally, we get to form the meal ring instead of just having breakfast in the canteen. At least we get to pass this tradition down. (:

Lunch:
We had Macs. (: Usually we have our junk food during farewell but I guess they don't wanna spoil our appetite. XD At least we got to have our macs with smile. :D
Farewell:
Again, it's a very emotional moment. The performances were great. (: Although I couldn't really get into the mood cos somehow I was having mixed feelings. It didn't really feel that I was gonna leave already. It just came and left so quickly! I love Guiding, and I mean it. When we gathered in our patrols, I felt detached. I'm sorry but I never really bonded with my patrol. As in, to be honest, I... Don't really like my patrol. x.x I mean they are really nice people but there is the certain detachment I can never get rid of. When I first joined, I know my seniors looked at me as if I was weird. When I became a senior myself, I wanted to bond with them but when the certain someone got promoted, I felt even more detched. Gah. And I think she knows I dislike her cos during farewell she was like... zz, forget it. Leaving the unlikable aside, I love FP. (: Muacks~ Later, I cried really hard while hugging all the sec 4s. I was practically SOBBING. Even Joanna, I really mean JOANNA, cried. Even Nerice Aw cried! I really love SNGG blue badges a lot. I'll miss them the most. I love the company we had for each other. It's fate that brought us together. Stay together kay, Blues! (:
Promotion:
They did it again. Transferring people from a patrol to another. It's so heart wretching. Although it doesn't concern me anymore, I still cried for them. I know their pain cos when I was sec 2, Elissa left FP to be the PS of Orchid and when I was sec 3, Kah Wei left and Kar Yee left to become the PS of Dove. :( Why did they have to send the nice people away? x( Oh and as I was looking at the blue badges passing the roses to the next batch, I cried again. Time really passes so quickly. Just a year ago, they were the ones getting the roses. Now they are already passing out and giving their roses to the next batch. Hais... Moving on, Jiayous SNGG! You guys can do it. :D
Yep. That's the end of Camp Camelot 09'. I know I've said this a thousand times but I still wanna say it... Guiding has impacted my life a lot. It became a part of my life and now that I've left it, I feel lost. It's like "My god, no more friday sessions? No more camps? What?"... But still...

It's insanity.
Okay here's the story. My family offered to take care of murphy and amber for the week while jialer and her mum are not free to take care of them. They took up the offer and sent them over on Sunday.
Amber looks like Rocky! But to be honest, I didnt have the 'feel'. After all, Amber and Rocky are two different dogs despite their similar personalities. Murphy and Amber are great dogs! They are sooooo cute! :D
Sadly, they have ticks. Murphy was whining away because it itched so much! It really broke my heart when he just kept whining and scratching. He's so old already and he still have to go through such torture. It simply aches your heart if you see him. I was so tempted to dip him into water and then shave him botak immediately. ;x
When we gave Murphy a bath, brown water came out. o.o'' And ticks can be found all over him. It was scary!! We washed Amber's ears cos it looked kinda groosed out and when I cleaned her ears, BLACK wax came out. I was horrified. I peeped into Murphy's ear and it's the exact same thing. Come to think of it, I don't think we've cleaned his ears yet.
The whole afternoon was like a war! Dog after dog from the shower and more cleaning and cleaning. The worst part is still the ticks. :( Anyway, the aftermath of the war was wet floor and fur all over. It's simply madness.
Mummy bought frontline spray and drip. We brought Murphy down to a quiet void deck (it was night time by then) and sprayed all over him. He didn't really like it though. :\ But it was the only way out. My heart stopped aching as much when I thought of how relief he would be when all those pesty ticks get out of him.
We walked around for about half an hour before settling down again and start to catch ticks out of his body. It was gross yet fun. ;x It's quite satisfying when you find a tick and pluck it out and end it's stupid life. My mum killed one with her slipper and lots of blood oozed out from it. All the blood was Murphy's. And the thought of how many ticks contained that much blood pained me again. :(
It was getting kinda late so we brought Murphy back. We fenced up the kitchen and let it be the quarentine area for the ticky dogs. Only Yuki was allowed out of it. XD We quickly dripped some frontline on her neck area to prevent the ticks from spreading over to her. She's already unlucky enough to get mites from Happy. T.T Poor girl.
Anyway they are still quarentined in there and Yuki gets very curious. She can drink water and pee thousand times a day just to go in there and see what's going on with the 2 dogs... Even when her peepad and water bowl is out from the quarentine area. Funny dog.
Yep, so that's the war! Parents are planning to send them back though. :( Cos the ticks are going all over the house. Either way it's fun having them around. :D Hope they won't be sent back though. Really want to get them all cleaned before sending them back. :\
