It's insanity.
Okay here's the story. My family offered to take care of murphy and amber for the week while jialer and her mum are not free to take care of them. They took up the offer and sent them over on Sunday.
Amber looks like Rocky! But to be honest, I didnt have the 'feel'. After all, Amber and Rocky are two different dogs despite their similar personalities. Murphy and Amber are great dogs! They are sooooo cute! :D
Sadly, they have ticks. Murphy was whining away because it itched so much! It really broke my heart when he just kept whining and scratching. He's so old already and he still have to go through such torture. It simply aches your heart if you see him. I was so tempted to dip him into water and then shave him botak immediately. ;x
When we gave Murphy a bath, brown water came out. o.o'' And ticks can be found all over him. It was scary!! We washed Amber's ears cos it looked kinda groosed out and when I cleaned her ears, BLACK wax came out. I was horrified. I peeped into Murphy's ear and it's the exact same thing. Come to think of it, I don't think we've cleaned his ears yet.
The whole afternoon was like a war! Dog after dog from the shower and more cleaning and cleaning. The worst part is still the ticks. :( Anyway, the aftermath of the war was wet floor and fur all over. It's simply madness.
Mummy bought frontline spray and drip. We brought Murphy down to a quiet void deck (it was night time by then) and sprayed all over him. He didn't really like it though. :\ But it was the only way out. My heart stopped aching as much when I thought of how relief he would be when all those pesty ticks get out of him.
We walked around for about half an hour before settling down again and start to catch ticks out of his body. It was gross yet fun. ;x It's quite satisfying when you find a tick and pluck it out and end it's stupid life. My mum killed one with her slipper and lots of blood oozed out from it. All the blood was Murphy's. And the thought of how many ticks contained that much blood pained me again. :(
It was getting kinda late so we brought Murphy back. We fenced up the kitchen and let it be the quarentine area for the ticky dogs. Only Yuki was allowed out of it. XD We quickly dripped some frontline on her neck area to prevent the ticks from spreading over to her. She's already unlucky enough to get mites from Happy. T.T Poor girl.
Anyway they are still quarentined in there and Yuki gets very curious. She can drink water and pee thousand times a day just to go in there and see what's going on with the 2 dogs... Even when her peepad and water bowl is out from the quarentine area. Funny dog.
Yep, so that's the war! Parents are planning to send them back though. :( Cos the ticks are going all over the house. Either way it's fun having them around. :D Hope they won't be sent back though. Really want to get them all cleaned before sending them back. :\
